7/12

Fritz cleared all the dirt and debris from the back today which is commendable considering it was once again a 90°+ day. I sanded down any residual adhesive or paper off a few pieces of the walls and taped it off where the markings were to denote the rooms and also the x's for lighting. Then I primed them. I'm not going to go too bonkers with priming because it's all gonna get covered.

I didn't want to lose the original floor plan so I wrote down on the wall the layout as marked with beanie's chalk 😭 tomorrow when it's all 100% dry I'll rewrite the floors where they should be.

I countined to sand the old adhesive and the "linoleum" flooring. That flooring won't budge, and it's exhausting. I'm wondering how much time I should put into that since it'll get covered anyway. Trying to do things the right way, not the fast way, but it's hard because patience is not my strong suit.

I was gifted a $50 Etsy gift card from a very lovely friend who I won't name! I purchased the wallpaper for the kitchen (previously posted), 2 sheets to start with (not sure if I will need more but I'll start there, it has to be mailed), little vintage Halloween masks for the spooky room, a Strawberry Shortcake for the Leda room, Grateful Dead reviews for the Aidan room, downloadable vintage Christmas prints for the Christmas room, and a downloadable Christmas room wallpaper. Thank you, friend!

Tomorrow: more sanding and priming. I started to take the pieces that haven't been worked on out of the box and got super overwhelmed, but at least it'll be easier to work on them.

I should probably read the instructions.
