7/10

Incredibly proud of myself for managing to get almost ALL this wallpaper off in less than a week. Of course the only one that won't budge is the paneling!!!!  I swear the gods of wood paneling are smiting me after all these years. Nothing is more satisfying than pushing the scraper through and scraping up paper in one go. It's like when scissors go clean through wrapping paper.

So next up is getting that linoleum like flooring off and sanding everything so that there's no adhesive residue left. I'm thinking I'll have to sand the linoleum/paneling as much as possible coz it's not budging. Then I'll be priming. I'm keeping the layout the original owner wanted coz it's good. Not sure if I'll go electrical wiring or battery operated for the lighting yet. It's very overwhelming. But the original owner marked what I believe to be where he wanted there to be lights so I'm gonna honor that either way.

I figure I'll prime what I have finished, see where I'm at with pieces/ assembly, and jump into what's in the box. Since the primer I got was the spray paint type I'm going to recruit Aidan to help. I assume he'll like that.

I bought card stock and adhesive today. I got three mosquito bites. I'm hoping we can set up shop in the garage this weekend.

It's nice to see the original owner's handwriting under all the paper. I like things with history.

It was 90° today.
